i think part of the problem is with the spped he is racing at. it may just be that racing your buddies to 115-120 may be worse then running to 100 or running to 130.
I had 3.27, and shifted from 3rd to 4th at about 103-105 (as indicated by my speedo), now with the 3.73's i shift at about 88-90 to 4th.
So i accelarate slower now from 90 to 105 mph. in that 15mph span, i am actually running a in a taller gear.
