Car smokes after turned off?

I have noticed that after I drive my car and shut it off, I see smoke slowly come outta my tail pipes? Why would smoke come outta my exhaust after the car is off? Just had mye curious or should I be worried?

very odd, are you sure it's actual smoke, and not just steam?

May be steam Its just odd looking. Ive never noticed my other stangs doing it?

Are you sure it's not just some residual exhaust left in the pipes? There would still be some in there, since it's not being forced out by the engine anymore.

I would worry about it if its not black smoke I wouldnt worry about all engines do that

yes, it's probably just condensation/evaporation. Sometimes if your driving behind a car that was just turned on, you see stuff dripping out of the tailpipes. It's probably just stuff still resting in your pipes that's evaporating. If it's not black you shouldn't be worried.

Mine does the same thing. Started happening when I took the cats out. I wouldn't worry about it.

Any new exhaust parts? It could be just burning off some on the high temp coating if that's the case.

I was watching my dad's 95 gts today and it did the smae thing so I guess theres nothing to worry about. Thanks guys!

Don't worry about it. You should see the condensation coming out of my tailpipes right now. I have puddles of water on the ground as well as white smoke. But then again, I haven't been on the dyno yet.

That's normal, when it's cold out. I think it's cool looking, kind of like a smoking gun barrel.

i think it has alot to do with outside temperatures,and the amount of moisture contents in the air.
