Car Stalling when Braking....ARRRGGHH!

Ok, this just started this morning...car sat for about 2 weeks, and now when I brake, and almost slow down, the car stalls....(it is a stick). I also started throwing the P0172 code...would these be related? Would a bad O2 sensor cause the car to stall like this?

Are you pushing in on the clutch when this happens? If so it sounds like a IAC valve.

not all of the time...only sometimes....sometimes I just hit the break, and the rpms drop really fast...

I checked the resistance across the IAC and it was 10.2..which is right in range....

I would bet there is a 99% chance it is IAC related.

my car started doing that one day and did it for a few days then quit messing up. It did that over and over again every few weeks for a few months. Everybody else is probably right. Check your IAC components. It's a ford thing cause I've had other Fords with the same problem.
