My car stall when I want to come to a a stop like after cruising down the street or getting of the highway and comming to a light. When I step on the clutch it just dies. Starts back up and idles fine runs good just when I step on the clutch.any help guys it's making me nuts Thanks Tony
It could be the idle is too low, simple fix-just unplug the IAC give a little turn on the adjustment screw. Plug IAC back in when you are done.
Maybe the TPS check the voltage (i'm sure there's plenty of how to's on this site)
Clean the IAC with carbuerater cleaner, or just buy a new one.
Mine was doing the same thing, i went to the local motorsport dealer, bought a fms 65mm tb with all new sensors on it for 165, never had a problem again.
I just started having this issues today as well. Same as fasblue describes. Also when I finally got home and opened the hood, I see quite a bit of smoke coming up from behind the intake manifold. The smoke smelled really rich.
Anyone got any ideas to toss out? Sorry not tryin to highjack your thread fastblue, it just seemed an appropriate place to ask.
Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…
Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
Code 27 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is an electronic sender mounted on the speedo pickup gear on the trans. It works the cruse control for both 5 speed and auto trans cars. On auto trans cars, it tells the computer to speed up the idle slightly as you slow down to a stop to keep the engine from stalling. Check to see if the electrical connector is plugged into it. Cost is under $30 and it is easy to replace.
