It was a Pioneer In Dash DVD Unit with a 7" screen. Looks like they got the door open by pushing a hanger through the passenger side window (a hole in the window seal now) to unlock the door. They broke the mount the radio is held in by, t/c switch, defrost switch, fog light switch, and also the plastic wall on the passenger side in the back seat. Stupid bastards did not take the cables or the brain which was in the trunk mounted to the back seat, so they just got the head unit and the remote. I am really pissed that people can not respect other peoples property.

Quick question if anyone can help out. I got the factory 460 deck back in this afternoon and plugged it up. I have aftermarket speakers in the door and in the rear that were run directly off of the aftermarket deck, how can I get them to work on the factory harness? Is there a adapter that I can buy so I can splice the stereo wire in to the factory harness behind the head unit so I can at least have some music.

Few pictures:(

Let us know how your insurance figures to handle the claim. I have been wondering myself on installing a fold out screen in my single din '99.

Good luck and don't worry karma will come back on those fing thieves.

Yeah I wish I could find out who did it, but problem is the police around here don't really care and don't look into this kind of thing and people know that so they continue to do this kind of thing.

Hopefully my insurance company takes good care of me on this, I am waiting to here back from them. I won't be putting another good head unit in there but I will be buying a good alarm so these asses keep there hands off of my car.

Cops anywhere look at that as a small crime most of the time un-solveable due to the hit and run nature of the act. Unless there is a rash of them in one area very rarly will they activly investigate something like this.

karma caught the dude that robbed you.

robber caught

JK, Sorry to hear about that, my car has been broken in to 3 times. Hopefully, they wind up like this guy. Sucks that people steal from others that work hard.

that really sucks man

the truth of the matter is when have cops ever stopped a crime. they are there to investigate after something happens and rarely find what they are looking for anyways.

we had a dirt bike stolen in broad daylight out of our garage cops looked for a day and gave up. dont worry that thief will get his.

hope insurance helps you out man

I see an alarm system with paging function in your future. This way, you can catch them in the act and dish out helpings of ass whipping or hollow points.

Being from Detroit, I will always have an alarm. I've had my share of break-ins.

Yeah I am looking into good alarms right now with a paging feature, just trying to find the best ones out there. Any advice on good models out there that you guys have tried and tested.

mazen189: Yeah my car is a 02 and it only has 24,xxx miles on it. I have been in the Army for the past 9 years and my car was in storage for most of that time while I was deployed. I recently got out of the Army after all those years of service and some ass has to mess with my car.

You don't deserve that, Sir:flag:

Thanks for your service.

Someone tried to break in to mine the other night. I went to a cafe and 2 hours later i went to my car to find brick marks on my driver side window. the effing bastards musthave gotten pisssed and decided to kick my side scoop and scratch it all the way down to the cheap ford plastic. safe auto quoted me at $1017 for the repairs including a new window, scoop and paint for the door and scoop.

I have a 500 dollar deductable and it sucks!!!!!!!! :(
