Thats the question of the day...I have no enemies...cops dusted for prints and didnt get anything substantial...how do you replace/remove power windows? I found a u pull it that has a window....

Aw man that makes me sick! did you have it covered when this happened? you should see if you can park in the drive or pay extra for rent to use the garage where you live if you can afford it? You might want to try to ask a couple of apartment complexes around town some of them will rent a garage out to you even if you dont live there? I would go and get that freakin camera from wall mart for $60 i think it was then aim it at the car from you apt. window and plug it into the vcr and receord away! Just make shure you have the zoom set right and check it at dark to see if it will take ok at night?
peace

Seriously man, its time for some detective work. You can't rely on the police for this kind of stuff.

You need to gather up some buddies for the next week, and do some surveillance. Park your car facing the other direction and wait. I wished I lived closer to you, I'd go spend the night out there watching.

I noticed, the damage looks to be on the drivers side facing the street. Do you have kids living across the street? They could be shooting it with a pellet gun. Make the police go over and investigate that.

You may not be able to get any money out of a 13 year old kid, but you can nail his parents. They should be watching their children anyway.

Seriously with the frequency this is happening, i would be staying up all night waiting for something to happen.

Another option is, you have a computer. Hook up a webcam. Can you see the car from the street? If so, you may be able to get at least a few still images of them.

vandals on your car, solution? Maybe

Here's a thought. I don't know if it would work but a buddy of mine hooked a low voltage battery to his wheels to keep cats/dogs from peeing on them. b When they did...ZAP! If you can hook it up to where the person doing the heinous things to your car... get it?! Ask if there was a way to where nothing is harmed electrically on your car though. :nice:

I went up and down the street...I dont think its anyone on my block. The people across the street are out of town but they have a girl house sitting. She said the dog went nuts around 1am or so but she didnt think anything of it. The guys next door said they heard a ricey car speed down our steet (dead end) around one am but didnt see anything. (only old people live at the end of the street) Im gonna have my alarm installed after the 4th, until then I parked the car at a friend place...I was going to do that anyway but I was waiting for the weekend...<sigh> One night too late I guess... :damnit: Crappy thing is I didnt have the money to put it in...now I REALLY dont have the money considering I have to have the side window replaced...the windsheild with have to wait a while, just gonna tape it to keep the rain out. Looks like the old credit card is gonna get ramped up. As for surveylance, other than sleeping in the damn car I dont have any options...this sucks so much... :bang:

::EDIT:: They used a 1/4 socket wrench...I found it in the car...

Just in case I wouldn't post your plans ... especially if they're aware you post here.

Dude, this makes me sick as hell. I've always been paranoid about leaving my car outside. Recently our garage was filled up with garbage furniture and so I need to park out front. There is never a night where I'm not nervous about random jackasses messing with my car. I can't believe people do this ... hope you find a resolution and the law drops the hammer on them as much as possible.

For crying out loud that's sick.

I am pretty sure that's against the law. Maybe not in oregon. But at the very least you'd open yourself up to all kinds of liability. What happened if a child touched the car, or an animal, or some old guy walking by loses balance and leans against it and ZAP, his elctro-ticker goes out and he dies? I know how you must feel. When I was young and my car got broken into, I couldn't beleive how violated I felt. I stuck a board with 3" nails sticking out under my seat covers. Just had to remember to remove them before getting in. :D

So, I think I missed this part, but they busted a window? Otherwise, I don't see how it could have been in the car.

That's a pretty ****ty thing to do to someone's car. Honestly.

I get nervous enough parking my car at the mall while I'm at work. There're a lot of stupid people out, flingin' their doors open, little kids running around. You know it.
