Hey guys,
Just got a new Holley 600CFM carb and a Weiand intake...They are installed, but the car sputters and wont hold idle, or run right at all...
If any one has pictures of this setup, or one similar, showing where the vacuum lines go, that might help. Any other suggestions would be awesome!!! Thanks in advance!

did you torque the manifold bolts correctly ? It sounds like you have a massive vacuum leak somewhere. How about the carb itself, is it correctly bolted to the manifold?

Did you remember the gaskets? Did you tighten the carb-manifold bolts/nuts? Do you have an electric fuel pump or mechanical? If you have an electrical, let it run and check your float levels, you may be starving the engine or flooding it. I had a stuck float last year and it would barely run, the only way to get home from a buddy's house was to keep turning my electric fuel pump on and off (switch on the dash).

You can buy a vacuum gauge for under 20 bucks.
be sure to the know the difference between ported vacuum and timed vacuum on the carb. one is a constant source, and the timed is for the distributor for the vacuuum advance.

Almost guarantee it's a vacuum leak. Check your oil, it probably looks like a milkshake. If not fire the car up and cover the carb with your hand a little, not all way though. If it runs better, you've got a leak. That's the cheap way to check it. Another way is to spray the manifold with carb spay or brake cleaner. Again if it runs better.... but that only works if you are leaking from the top. Good luck.
