I have heard some people with the 2v have experienced hard starts when hot. Does anyone have a good explanation for this, and/or a solution. It really pisses me off when I have to turn the crap out of the motor to get it to start when hot. I am ashamed that the car sounds so good, but sometimes doesn't want to start.

Has anyone had this problem and how did YOU fix it.

most of the time it's a bad IAC...clean or replace it

I occasionally have the same problem. Usually if I let the car sit for 15-30 seconds and then try again it'll start okay. Still pretty annoying.

sounds like the IAC again...if you have already cleaned it, replace it with one from ford

mine has been doing that for a long time. i have not heard of a fix yet, or what might be causing it. it is not the iac, that is the first thing i replaced. the car still does it, dont waste your time. i just try not to start it right up after i shut it off if i can help it. although that is a pain, and is un fair that these cars do this.

oh by the way ford has no idea even when i got the car to do this right in front of them numerous times.
