It started fine earlier. and then i replaced my fuel filter before hte fuel pump, because i was still having the studdering and then dying problem, and the fuel filter after the fuelpump before the carb, was fine, but it got replaced anyway. now the car wont start, at all. it cranks and cranks and cranks... but it wont start. i know its getting fuel because i took the air cleaner off and watched the fuel spray in. whats going on!!?? like i said the car started fine before, but studdered and died if i didnt press the clutch in and rev it. i checked the fuel filters and they were clogged, so i replaced them. now the damn car wont start!! its really pissing me off, the fuel filters shouldnt be causing the car to not start.

Is it getting spark?

If it's not firing and getting fuel, then it has to be the spark. Or did you have the spark plugs off and possible hooked them up wrong? (different cylinder is firing that got fuel...)

You flooded it. Pull the plugs, whipe the fuel off, let the cylinders air out for 30 mins, try agian. That solved my problem on my carbed cutlass when it flooded.
