hey all,
im a fox guy, but got apal with a 06 v6. the thign its doing is spinning over but not firing up! its like its getting no fuel or spark etc. but aslo i removed the battery to try to do an old school reset and it made it worse now it wont spin or click. the thing is the guy lost the alarm transmitter, and this key is a remake cause he had the same problem with this earlier this year and AAA made him anew key but told him that he is going to have allot of problems with the car... so i figure when i reset the ecu it just made some antitheft device worse or the key unprgrammed? my main question is if this is plausible or it it really a spark/fuel problem. ford want 70.00 to look at it and 40.00 for a new programmed key/transmitter. not insane rape but does suck any idears

Are you trying to say the car won't start with the battery removed? Did this key ever start the car? .. is the key an OEM key like this one?

car wont start, the engine is spinnign over but nothing after reseting the ecu nothing happens. just like a coil plug wire being unplugged or no fuel pump.

the oem key was replaced with a remade one,AAA told him that the remade key can be read? idk wtf they were talking about or my friend is missing some vital information...anwyyas the remde key worked but now its doing the same thing. reseting the ecu made it worse...

So, did this new key ever start the car? If not, it just sounds like the key wasn't programed.

Or the fuel safety kicked off and needs to be reset... or a PATS key issue

I've never done it and I'm not trying to do it. I wonder if PATs was able to disable the car if the key wasn't programmed and when they disconnected the battery it thought the car was being stolen. I know PATs isn't much but I don't really know the extent of it's capabilities. Just a bone head idea.
