Car wont start!?!?!?!

Just a few days ago my fuel pump went out. so i order a new 255lph bbk pump and a 130 amp alternator with wiring kit cause i had charging issues. soooooo...... the parts came in and i installed them along with a new fuel filter. but now for some reason the car wont start. it sputters for a second right when i turn the key but wont start. any ideas? and its an 89 mustang gt manual

and i found a wire that got damaged coming off of the coil but i fixed that. and i checked the ohms on the coil and its .6 is that a normal resistance? PLEASE HELP!!!

ok the fuel pump spools when you turn the key. but stops spooling when you start cranking the engine. is that normal? i had my head right next to it and i had my buddy crank the car and the pump is not spooling while the motor is cranking.

How far have you gotten in the checklist? Running the list will save you time and headaches.

ok we have it narrowed down to fuel system issues...... what should i check first? we did replace the pump and fuel filter. what should we look for and what mistakes could we have made?

ok i think i figured it out. i think the fuel pump is defective.....
