my friend bought this holley carb used and it was all messed up. i rebuilt it and it when i got it all back together and on the car i noticed that the primary side wasent squirting fuel. so after looking at it i see that the accelerator pump cam on the primary side was missing. so i get one from another carb put it on and its like its not big enough. my question is do the primary and secondary accelerator pump cams have to be the same? or is the one i have on the primary side just not the right one? thanks in advance

No, they don't have to be, but depending on how the carb is tuned you may want them to be. In stock form a double pumper would have the same pink cam on both sides. You said it's "not big enough"? How do you mean? The cams don't really get bigger, they just change shape a little. Do you have the accelerator pump adjusted right?
