a dual plane is good. i have been told that there are issues with dual planes and nitrous. Usally no more the 100hp shot. That being said i have a 150 hp shot on my dual plane intake. I will be going to a single plane but you have to be prepared to lose some low end torque if you go to a single plane like a victor jr.

The Edelbrock Performer RPM seems to offer a good compromise between dual plane and single plane features.

I have a similar combo, GT-40X heads, E-cam, stock bottom end, and a performer RPM intake and a holley 750 in a 79LX coup and it runs good. 11.9 on slicks with a 4.10 rear. I picked up a used victor jr. because I am going to install a nitrous kit with anywhere from a 75-175 shot.

I'm also curious to know why they recommend a single plane intake with spray

Does anyone have any numbers to post (dual plane vs. single plane?
