I rebuilt my ford 2100 carb with a new kit It idles rough, quits when placed in gear(AT) rough when you give it gas It has new plugs,wires cap and rotor the 2 idle set screws are 1 and a half turns but have no effect on the motor at all any ideas?

First check the engine idle vac to insure it is 15-20, or so. Next, check timing is within spec. Third, insure all linkage is operational. Fourth, set the carb idle mix with a vac gauge.
