carb question

i had a timing problem and i think i have that figured out now. but when your car is not running and u pull back the throttle for the secondaries to operate, should there be fuel shooting out of the secondary shooters? cuz on mine there isnt and my car like misses when either my kick down is working or when my car is about about 3000 rpm..but other than that it runs good.

If you have a double pumper carb, then yes the secondary squiter should still work with the motor off.

If you have a vacuum secondary carb, then no.

well what else could cause this to happen? fuel filter? what else?

A hole in the secondary squiter diaphram. But that would be pretty obvious. A broken,missing, worn out spring in the diaphram. Maybe the quirter is just clogged.
