so i coverted over to carb from fuel injection and have a couple of questions. what type of throttle cable do i use? can i use a stock one from a fuel injected stang? if not where can i get one for a carb setup, is there any holes on the block or head that i have to plug?

No you cant, the geometry is all wrong. It will only open the throttle blades 60-70% when floored. Get the lokar throttle cable. $25

You should make sure all the vacuum ports on the carb are sealed tight cause the carbs are all about vacuum. Any leaks and it wont run right.

Well, none of your emissions swithcing equiptment will work so off with the tab/tad and run the smog hose from the pump to the crossover behind the heads then cap the air tube in the cat pipe. The head setup should be identical if you use a carbed 302 intake.

Heya, i have ben lookin in the summit mag for that cable ever since you told me about that, and i cant find the part # anywhere... you know it off hand?

You have a PM by the way

You can use a factory cable off any carburated fox body car with a 302. Any mustang 85 or older, t-bird, granada etc. Grab the cable bracket that bolts to the intake behind the carb also.

The only holes you need to plug are if you removed the smog pump. and the pipe that rund from the back of one head to the other.
