I am making the swap so I have a quick question. I have never had a carburated vehicle before so I need to know if: a. I can keep my 255 lph fuel pump and regulate it down to 8 PSI (or whatever I need). B. fuel return. Does it work off of the regulator.

Thanks.

as long as you are using a fuel return off your fuel regulator its fine, you probably already know, but you just set your fuel pressure where you want it and the 8 psi or whatever goes to your carb and the excess goes right back to your tank. good luck with it :nice:

You probably wont even need 8psi. I am running 7psi with my setup and have thought about turning it down. With my fuel lines I could probably get by with 4psi.
In a carbed car all you have to do is run enough fuel pressure to keep the fuel bowls full.
I would not recommend running your EFI pump. If you have a 255 sell it on ebay and make some money towards a low pressure fuel pump.

you would be cutting the fuel pressure over half over the efi pump which will ruin the pump even with a return line regulator most likely. my carb calls for an adjustable fuel regulator set at 5.5. it blows black smoke because i have no regulator
