Carburating a 4.6??????

has anyone heard of anyone carburating a 4.6. i've seen several convert the 5.0. i can't find an intake that will except a carburator. carbs are good for you!!!!!

carbs make you fat!!!

there is a carb intake for the 4V but i haven't seen one for the 2V. for what it costs tho, i don't see why you'd want too.

because no computer=less headache and most of the time you can get more power out of a carburated engine versus a fuel injected one....or maybe i just like the sound better...hee hee hee

FRPP might have something for you. i saw they are coming out w/a carbed 4 V crate motor, so they may have some intakes coming out for other carb set ups, too

A efi setup is no more of a headache than any other setup.
I wouldnt give up my efi for ANY carbed setup..
Plus in many states a carbed setup will make your car illegal to drive on the streets.

I agree!!! It would take alot for me to trade my EFI for a carb.

Step away from the crack please. More power from a carb??? I hate to say this, but you sound like one of the backwoods redneck country boys that is afraid of EFI. If it made more power, dont you thin the big 3 would still use it on their performance package cars???

ya depending on the state its illegal to have any sort of a carburator on a 96+ car. i have no idea where you get off thinking a carb will give you more power. a properly setup EFI will have leass headaches and make more power than a carb.

whoaaaaa....hey guys lose the hostililty...no backwoods redneck here (eventhough i am from Columbia, South Carolina and we have no more inspection laws and nothing car whise is enforced here) i just love how older domestic engines operate with a carburator and not to mention (IMO) they sound a whole lot more like the beast it should....and i would like to be one of the few who have a 2V setup that way...i already knew about the 4V...i was just wondering if they had the 2V intake out yet or if they planned on making one....not much "southern hospitality" in these forums anymore ....for those who attempted to actually answer my post i thank you

Well i cant speak for any one else.But i didnt build mine to make it SOUND good.I built it to make power.Ill put my EFI up against a carb ANYDAY..

Show me a carb making 600+rwhp and pulling 19+mpg on the highway with the a/c on.

I'd love to lose the EFI for a good old double pumper. Screw the EFI when it comes to a straight line.

If you find the fix let me know so I can smoke these *******s, okay?

Carbed vs EFI = carbed at the finish line.

LOL you say so..There is everything you need to convert to a carbed setup.But efi is the way to go..Unless the technology scares you..
