OK So my setup in my sig is not running right and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Right now the car will bog down when I floor it low end. Top end it hardly bogs at all (3k+). This means the carb is putting too much fuel, but if i'm in 5th gear @ 80 mph and I floor it, it backfires OUT of the carb, meaning that its not giving ENOUGH fuel. I've got my timing currently set @ 13* and its running the best that its ran so far but is stil running not great. I've tried 8*, 11*, 13*, 16*, 18*. Can anyone help me here? I've adjusted teh idle mixture screws all over the place with no real luck as to making it run better... HELP
Also @ 11* it ran decent and I got good mileage, I've noticed now that i'm @ 13* I can smell the unburnt fuel and I seem to be getting a lot worse mileage.
If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them because basically all I am doing right now is trying random **** hoping it works but nothing has so far. I'm thinking about trying 10*, 12*, 14*... But that means I have to set the timing, drive around and feel out the bogging/backfiring whatever it may be, then adjust the screws, drive, adjust the screws, drive, repeat as many times as it takes and its a long process. SO if anyone has any ideas that can make the process shorter I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Also I have the advance spout on the left side of the carburetor, which is advance @ throttle so i'm told. Should it be on the right side (constant advance), or the left side(throttle advance)???
