do the center pins wear out over time?I sometimes get a slight clunk in the drivetrain.Where is a good (cheap) source for a new one?

The center pin should not wear, but I had one where the little spider gear bushings galled onto it and I had to hammer it out.

The clunk is most likely u joints, or excessive backlash in the ring and pinion. Open and check.
