Alright, so it's finally painted. The colors for those that don't know are Mercedes Black on top, and Nissan Bronze Gold Metallic on the bottem. After a wet sand and buff a pinstriper is heading over to do that in red (will match the calipers and some things under the hood). Let me know what you think!!!

Also huge thanks goes to the kids that did it. For being younger they did an outstanding job, and when its cut and buffed, should look better than I ever expected!

Thats a sweet color combo! That looks good man.

I always wanted to do my 90 GT with black on top and a bright red on bottom, using the same body line you did to seperate them.

I've seen a very nice coupe at the track a few time that was bright blue on top and silver on the bottom also using that same body line for the split.

Thanks for the replys, and keep them coming, good or bad. I know the color isnt for everyone, it gets a love it or hate it response.

The "during paint" shots were taken behind the doors through the window. The "in booth" shots were taken between coats. My dad was the one taking the pics, and anytime paint was flying there were only the two kids (twins too) in the booth.

I cant wait to see it on the Deep Dish 18s, and actually driving for once!!

yes I did. We had two kids actually. I guess they have been painting cars for years at their fathers body shop, and really know their stuff. from the looks of it, this wasn't their first time, and I am 100% confident after they cut and buff it, it will be near flawless...

This coupled with the new car on Wed, should be a good week for me!

thats good to hear. i went to a tech school in my area this past year and they have an auto body program and the kids here CANNOT PAINT, i have see their work and its horrible. and i am not a body man and dont know much about painting but i can definatly tell the kids in that class sucks royal balls. the teacher was to blame, my dad knew the guy and said he was bad haha

my dad is an excellent body and paint guy, he had his own body shop for years, and he actually applied for the opening at the tech school years ago but the stupid guy got it ( the guy teaching crap painters now) turns out the guy had friends in high places that got him the job
