What's a good price for used cast iron GT40 heads (complete with 1.7rrs)

new or used? used with used 1.7's i say about 400 dollars new with new rockers i say about 800 dollars

i got my gt-40p heads beand new from tri state cylinder head. they have upgraded springs, bigger valves, and a 5 angle valve job for 550 shipped and 1.72 fms rockers used for 100 dollars.

I paid 400$ for my gt40 heads off a 95 cobra years and years ago.

i spent 280 for mine then another 180 at the machine shop without rockers. i paid 70 for the rockers. if you are getting used heads take them to a machine shop.

i sold mine for $200. pulled off a running car at 100k miles.

i would never pay $400 for a used set of GT40 anything.

hey Daniel50.......I too was looking at the tristate cylinderhead gt40p's because it seems like a pretty good deal. How do you like them? Did they offer you any type of warranty?

they do come with a warranty i think. mine were in great shape when i got them and i used those heads, a b cam, 1.7 rockers, and a trickflow street heat, with stock fuel pump, clutch, injecotrs, maf, tb and ran a 12.8@106mph untuned with no idea what fuel pressure is or timing. so they defientely put out power

They should run $200 at the junkyard. That's what I paid for mine in Phoenix. They pulled them off a 97 (pre-P) Explorer.
