After reading several articles, I have noticed that about every modification requires tuning. My question is if I remove or gut the stock cats will I need a tune. My car already has a tune for the CAI? Thank you for your time and sorry if I have missed this subject in another post.

You will need to turn off the rear O2 sensors, either with an updated tune or MIL eliminators. I think there is something to be had in tuning for the excess air going out, but Brent and Doug say no tune is needed. In fact, when I got my off road pipe, I requested an updated tune and they said none was needed.
