Catastrophy has struck my C6 tranny, need help from anyone with a C6

Ok, this just happen. I was going to put my Lokar kickdown lever on my C6, i had to unbolt the old lever, in doing so (and i was careful too) the whole frikin kickdown lever and rod is loose and able to pull all the way out, what the hell did i break and how hard is it to get to/fix. Im pretty pissed off at myself.

Took off the pan and saw what broke. The tranny is still off the engine on the ground. I took the pan off, and saw that the lever inside the tranny thats attached to the kickdown rod had cracked nearly in half on the part that was brazed to the rod. Would it be ok to just leave it out and run without a kickdown, this isn't a daily driver, just a fun weekend car.
