Hi, I have a 2017 Mustang GT and I just installed Mak cat delete and I tried the trick that many said worked by using non-foulers to make an extension for the 02 sensors but it didnt work as my Check engine light came on after about 350 miles. I’ve shopped around and noticed I cant find MIL eliminators for this model mustang. Does anybody know of another possible trick to get the 02 sensors to not throw a code without turning them off with a tune?
Thanks

People are pumping massive horse power through cats, no reason to take them off in my opinion, you can make them louder with a muffler change.
I'll move this to the s550 forums to see what others have to say.

I’ve now had 4 different exhaust setups on my car and theres no doubt in my opinion it sounds a heck of a lot better with the cat delete.. one of my first setups was a muffler delete and an x pipe and it was loud but sounded awful... with the cat delete it gives me the option to add volume and a quality muffler along with it

I would talk about the emissions stuff and different levels of sound but it likely would do no good, your car, your decision.

The CEL issue when the cats are removed can be fixed with a tune.

If you can find a tuner who will do it, AFAIK turning off the O2's that read the cats is illegal in all 50 states.
