SLP LT headers...and matching catted shorty X from American Muscle w/ free shipping. Also I did the no payment for 90 days offer with Bill Me later...woot.

Taking the car in to the shop in two weeks for the motor rebuild (long story). It's a natural choice to have LTs installed then get it tuned and be done with it...for now. I can't wait to have my Stang back and even more pissed. :nice:

AM was always fast to here too :nice:

So what happened to the engine?

Dunno for sure yet, but it's part use error and it consumed oil, now it has rod knock in the upper RPMs. That was the original diagnosis at the dealer back in November. I will know more once I take it in and the motor is pulled obviously just to see exactly what the damage is. :( Sux cause I had just paid it off and it only has 32k on her. Oh well ya live and learn...now I have an excuse to make it better. :flag:

If you are going FI then keep your cams, if you are staying N/A go with 96 Cobra cams. The 96 cams seem to have the best profile for N/A. There are a few guys running over 400hp with the 96 Cams :nice:

Whoa, I didn't know that, but I do know a lot of people like to swap '98 Cobra intake cams.

The other cams I was thinking about were the Comp Cams 106100 that would supposedly work with stock springs.

I have a couple articales at home from various Mustang Mags from a couple years ago. I know the guys in the N/A modular class that were winning were using the 96 cams, better profile then the 97-98 cams. Combos all similar. Teksid block, 03/04 heads, 01 intake and 96 cams. Degreeing cams on a 4V is the single most important thing. My 96 made 299.8 rwhp and it was damn near box stock but the previous owner spent a weekend degreeing the cams. IDK how to do it but make sure your builder does. He should spend 4-8 hours on the cams alone :nice:

Let's get this show on the road!!

There was a twin turbo SN97 stroker making 1000 hp there on the lift, some racer shipped his car from Canada for them to work on. They had a 700 hp Super Snake in the lot, various other late model GTs and a Terminator...it was f'n awesome.

Oh hells yeah! Thats the place to take the car. When you see a Shelby and some Terminators then you can be pretty sure they know how to make a 4V sing! :nice:

Yea, made me feel a little better. Said the SuperSnake would burn the tires going 80mph down the free way, it had some drag radials on the back lol. That SS is so f'n awesome in person. Also the owner said they just had another Mach come through not long ago that they rebuilt so at least they've done it before. :D But there were blown stangs and stuff all over the place. :flag: I even saw a turbo'ed C5 hiding on the side, there were what looked like intercoolers sitting behind where the foglights would have been. Plus some random older Viper was also off to the side. I'm def bringing my camera next time I go there.
