Curious as I’ve heard mixed talk about the ghost cam tune. I have a 2017 S550 GT Roush exhaust and x pipe….. BAMA sent me a ghost cam tune, but my concern is can I run this tune with my cats? I’ve heard that my car should not be catted and that this tune will burn the cats out….. Anybody have any good info???

It can damage cats. It gets the sound from causing kindof like a misfire. Misfires aren't good for cats. I say this but haven't personally witnessed this issue. It's based in theory from almost 30 years being an Advanced level tech. They may be fine if the tune isn't used all the time.

Thank you so much. I’ve had the tube sitting in the cloud in my BAMA handheld tuner. Been curious about trying it out…. But with you’re response and a few other reads, I think I’ll go with my gut and not take any risks!! Thanks again

I have Schrader (Gastonia, NC) tunes for my '21 GT. One is ghost cam. Schrader uses variable valve timing to create lope and are Cat safe. But, don't know if they do it for the coyote gen 1 and 2.
