Ccrm No Power To Fuel Pump

I had a problem with my CCRM when I first got my car, I'm 2nd owner. The CCRM is one of Ford's WORST ideas because it takes critical relays and seals them into the little, black box. Your fan coming on is a symptom that the relay inside the CCRM has failed in the open position (assuming all other connections/variables are right).

As far as the fuel pump issue: its most likely the CCRM again. It can be opened and all relays can be replaced, but you can also get rebuilt ones from eBay (where I got mine). The main issue w/a replacement is that it [must] be an [exact] match of your old one. The part numbers [must] match as well as the letter code (e.g., J, L, M, etc). Yes, ppl have gotten CCRMs to work w/o an exact match, but you are asking for problems -maybe right away, maybe in a few months, maybe in a couple of years, but it will give problems if not matched.

If you are interested in my source on eBay let me know and I'll dig it up. If you are good w/electrical repairs just fix your original one w/exact replacement components.
