Center panel A/C-radio bezel, 2000 vs. 2004
Weird question... hope an expert here has the answer!
I have an '04 coupe w/factory AM/FM/CD/MP3, and a friend has an '00 convertible w/aftermarket headunit. We're exploring the possibility of trading headunits. I can inherit a decent headunit for a song if I can solve this problem.
The problem is, the A/C-radio bezels are different. My factory radio in the '04 is that 1.75-ish DIN with no crossbar on the bezel underneath the radio space to allow for that extra height; the '00 has a standard 1 DIN slot with a crossbar on the bezel beneath it and another slot underneath that.
So the question is.... will an '04 bezel (or any other year that may not have that second crossbar below the radio slot) fit the '00? All the pics I can find online have that crossbar under a single DIN opening.
(Even if they'd fit, we can't just swap bezels because the '04 is charcoal with that metal-look bezel and the '00 is parchment).
