Alright I'm at Rutgers in central jersey. I finally got my trans rebuilt. I'm dying to find out what my car will run in the 1/4. Anyone wanna help out the new kid?

Looking for where to go, when to go, how's its run, tips, etc. Or if someone's headed to the tracks and doesn't mind taking someone new...

Go to Englishtown. Go on Friday nights they open at 5 or Saturday they have 2 sessons. the morning opens at 9 and the night sesson opens at 3. They show you how to stage. Since you're at Rutgers just go down route 18 south to route 527 to Pension Road you can't miss the big sign on 527. Wednesday and Sundays are to crowded. Get there early on Friday get as many runs as you can. The colder it gst the less crowded.

I am guessing 15.0. Keep us updated though! On my first few runs at the track I got 15.7s. Then I learned how to drive.

Check the calendar at racewaypark.com - they usually have a couple of Ford and Mustang specific events.

Fords at Englishtown weekend is coming up, somewhere around October 17... lots of shows, racing, etc. I'll be there for the show on Sunday with my 99 Saleen speedster or my in-progress Factory Five Daytona Coupe.

Yeah, englishtown is a good place. never raced there, but was there for a few months ago for an event. I like how you come under the "booth" area.

Jeffyh, pm me what your schedule looks like... I work right down the street
from RU in Piscataway and I take the Saleen to work once in a while. I'd
like to see your car too, maybe we can meet one day around lunchtime.
My cousin lives on the Livingston campus.

The 03/04 Cobra's eat my Saleen for lunch... the numbers those cars are
making are just sick, and my heavy-ass convertible is no match for them.
It's a nice cruising car tho... I seriously considered selling it last year. I was
going to order an 04 Mystichrome Saleen Cobra Convertible, but I decided
to keep mine instead. Mine isn't a trailer queen, I drive it frequently, and I
didn't want to deal with trying to touch up the mystichrome.

Hey Gene... slowly but surely... hoping to have it on the road in the spring.
It's definately taken longer that I thought, but mostly due to changes I've
been making like adding a/c, different brakes, etc.

I had it at E-town 2 weeks ago... couldn't run it (windshield held in with duct
tape ), but we put it on the scale... 2375 without the driver... should be
amusing once it's done.

Here's a link to the webpage I've been on/off maintaining of the build...

Wow, 2375 lbs.

I see you found another use for Duct tape.

Btw, I am setting a car meet for this coming Saturday. Here is a link incase you may be interested. Jamie and Michelle may be there.

And pay no attention to anything other than the first post. The rest of thread is nothing but BS, lol.

Thanks for the invite, already have plans I can't get out of for Saturday.
Buying another house and have the inspection that day... have fun and take
lots of pictures...

BTW, I edited the previous post and added a link to the build for the Daytona if you want
to see the in-progress pictures.

I looked at your webpage. Nice work Ted. It is coming along nicely I can see.

If I am not mistaken, the Dodge Viper is somewhat based off of the Daytona Coupe? A Viper is my dream car.

Good luck with finishing everything up. I hope it all works out for you.
