Thinking about getting my 1996 Mustang conv ceramic coated, don't know if it is worth it.

I would say if the condition of your current paint is really good, then it could be worth it. I wouldn't ceramic coat paint thats fading or has a bunch of imperfections though.

Yes. Highly recommended

Left. Original oxidized paint
Right. 2-stage cut and buff and ceramic coat. Well worth it




All done.

It was either Adam’s or Griots. Don’t recall and not sure where the remaining supply currently is to check

Since your paint is decent, I say -- go for it. A reputable shop will take care of you.

What are the advantages of ceramic coatings?
I did the diy with the magires stuff per dirctions, was not impressed but reapplied it per directions and still not impressed, dust maganet and not smooth feeling, hand wax is my weapon of choice, dusty, quick drive down the street, dust gone.
Feels slick and clean like glass, lasts long time.
