i plan on getting this kit sooner than i thought. even though i live in nj and cervinis is located here as well i think the $6000 dollars that they want to paint and install the kit is a little nuts... i think anyway. if i buy the kit without the tires and wheels it's like 3800 bucks. anybody here have any idea how much that would cost to get painted and installed at a good body shop?? i know a couple of you guys in here have it. thanks

For quality paint work, I don't think that price is too high.

We paid about $2k for paint and installation, including stripes.

that sounds like a fair price and about what I was hoping for. still not sure if I'm going to stripe it yet. i love the look of it with stripes but the wifey doesn't want stripes. she didn't want to buy a brand new mustang either though ha ha.

Do something like what we did. Get something not so bold. Our stripes are about 2 shades darker than the stock color, then sprayed with a light coat of blue pearl. They're just a tad darker than what people refer to as ghost stripes, and with the pearl, sometimes they're lighting than Mineral Gray, sometimes they're darker.

exactly, i personally don't want bold stripes. i think some sort of a light/metallic silver would go pretty good with my color

If you do the math, $6000 from Cervinis less $3,800 for the kit is $2,200. That's only $200 more than the $2,000.

If $2200 is all Cervini's wants to do it, have them do it. They built the kit, so they would know best how to install it, and make sure it's done right.
