Change transmission fluid??

I have a 2004 40th Anniversary pony, 5 speed. I checked the owners manuel to when the trans fluid should be changed. There is no info in there on that topic. So....is there a standard for changing the transmission fluid? Mileage? Age? Clutch replacement?

What manual trans do you have (I don't think we saw what engine you have)?

It is a 4.6L V-8 260 HP, with manuel 5 speed with O/drive.

Try posting in 4.6 Tech. You're posting in the Fox section and the specifications may be different for your manual, than for the T-5.

It's a T-3650.

Factpry fill is synthetic....you are good for a while.

Ask in the 4.6L boards for detailed info

Unless I missed it, it's not stated with authority by the OP what trans is in it. It is not necessarily a 3650.

For 2004 the v8 trans was a 3650

So then anytime someone in here with an aero V8 Fox posts about his manual trans, we should assume he has a T5? Again, we do not know what trans he has, nor do we know what fluid is in it.

Good point, but odds are with the ops "newness" and fact he is checking the owners manual on a much newer car tends to suggest this is a stock mustang.
