Hey Folks,
I am finally changing my pedals and shifter (5 speed conversion),
can someone please point me to the best, most thorough instructions on this site, or chime in if you have something else to add!
THanks

This one covers the basics pretty good.

^That link covers the basics. A few tricks I learned when doing mine was to pull the gauge cluster and the steering column from the car.
It is going to be a pain fighting the pedal sets in and out. There is really no way around that, so just try to stay patient and don't rush yourself.

I pulled the entire dash to do mine. That let me lower the column and install the pedals from the top. Still a PITA, but at least i could see what I was doing

I second the "pull the column" advice. Once you've dropped the column, all you have to do is remove the bolt where the column attaches to the rack and it slides right out. It really frees up the space under there.
+1
I pulled mine out, I just couldn't understand why someone would leave it in when it's dropped. It's just one more bolt to pull it. Why fight around it over one bolt???
