Any one done this before? Ive been losing power steering fluid somewhere, and I was adding some more and I saw some squirt out of the hose when it was at full lock. Its got 2-3 little pin holes that slightly weep when the car is on, and one of them will squirt when the wheel is at full lock.

So how hard is it to change this, and where can I get one.

Changing the hose is easy enough with the right tools. I had to buy a SAE hose disconnect wrench for the fitting on the power steering pump - I was unwilling to chance rounding off the fitting. The fitting on the rack can be removed, but it's just time-consuming. I don't remember the size of either fitting, but I remember attaching the HP hose to the rack was a big PITA to get the threads started.

My HP hose is leaking at the PS pump, I re-used the nylon washer/seal and it's leaking. :(

I've never had a problem with just a regular wrench. It's not that big of a deal. The end that goes to the pump is suposed to have a teflon gasket that goes in it. If your new steering hose comes with a rubber one, make sure you go to the dealer and get that original teflon piece. The rubber ones don't seal.

The pump itself has been changed recently. And I remeber putting that teflon gasket in. I think I may actually have another one laying around, cause Ive changed that pump like 3 times.
