i get this chatter from my clutch/trans area when my car has been runnin for awhile. it's not real loud with the trans in neutral but, but it is louder with the clutch depressed. only when it has been driven for awhile. kinda like stop and go traffic. it has a adjustable clutch quad. and a centerforce dual friction clutch. thanks for your help in advance!!!

Chatter generally refers to vibration when actually disengaging or engaging the clutch.
If you just have a noise when the car is hot, it sounds like it could be the TOB.

More precise info would help.
Good luck.

quik5.0 this sounds like your throw out berring to me. Can you control the noise with the clutch ie make it quieter and louder? Mine would chatter (and still does) when the car is cold but stops after the car warms up or if I put a little pressure on the clutch. Hope that helps.

the sound is louder with the clutch pressed in. it does'nt make any noise unless i am kinda in stop-n-go. if i am on open road or highway, it doesnt do it. it is there with the trans in neutral and louder with the clutch pushed in.
