chatter when i am excelerating in first gear

I have a wierd chattering noise when i ecelerate in first gear it is very annoying and make my car sound like a pos any ideas on what this could be

Where's the noise coming from? Inside the car, outside the car, below you, engine compartment, rear end, etc. Need more info. Is it only in first it happens? Does it happen at idle, or when you floor it?

Did you put a spec clutch in there? lol mine chatters horribly. I hate it! Its embarassing. Feels like the rear end is loose, but everything is good and tight, so i dont know what to do as far as that goes. =/

do you have an aftermarket shifter, cause mine makes a chattering noise when excelerating in lower gears. could be that.

now the chattering is worse with the cams. it chatters at idel at least i hope its just the shifter shaking in the tranny

well its definatly comeing from underneath the car, not from the inside. It almost sounds like a metal rattle but i looked under the car and didn't see any loos parts or rub marks

Probably your presure plate is warped. The will make clutch chatter.

Is it loud or soft? Could it be detonation?
