Cheap Nitrous kit...Too good to be true?

Hey guys I just got back from the performance shop.Earlier I was thinking about getting a dry nitrous kit(either NOS or ZEX).The guy at the shop recomended that I get a wet nitrous kit from NX. Now when I went there to talk to the guy there was another mustang guy there just hanging out at the shop.He happend to have a NX nitrous kit on his 95 gt and told me he would sell it to me.He said he payed $375 new and he would sell it to me the complete kit with a purge kit for $150.The kit was only like a year old.I found that a very cheap price.I took a look at it and it looked in good condition. The new NX kits are $500-600 but he told me he bought it for $375 new...and he will sell me the complete kit with a purge kit for $150.He also told me there is nothing wrong with it.Well, what do you guys think? Too good to be true? Is there anyway of telling if there is someting wrong with anything on the kit?
The price is so damn tempting...but I don't know...

BTW he had the solenoids off and he said they were at his house.I'm suspecting there might be something wrong with them.Is there anyway of telling if they are in good condition?

Price replacement solenoids and figure that into the price. If it's still cheap ( I don't know what they run ) then I would go for it.

Just make sure he knows you want your dough back if it's broke.

BTW - I would go wet too. Zex didn't have wet kits when I bought mine.

I had my NX solenoids go bad after being used then being put in a drawer in the tool box for a year during build up. Called NX and they told me to send them the solenoids, they sent me two new ones for no charge.

they said they have a lifetime warranty on them.

i heard about the lifetime garantee with the NX kits too. if i ever came across a set for $150 or so with everything, i woulda jumped on it too. would keep it at a mild 50 or 75 shot max and just had fun with it for pretty cheap

They made me prove that I bought them first- I had to go back two years on my credit card statement and had to pay $5 to re-order the statement from the credit card company! But yeah, they then sent me replacement ones for free!

If the nx kit is 150 wet shot how much rwhp gain should I see?

With a 255 LPH fuel pump, new plugs and a dyno tune will my lightly modded gt be able to handle that much?
The guy at the performance shop recomended that the highest I go is a 100 wet shot so I'll probably just run a 100 shot.
How much rwhp will a 100 wet shot from nx add?

And how can I tell if the sloenoids are bad?
