I am needing to know what is better the h-pipe or the pro-chamber? Is the h pipe set-up the same if I cut off the cats and just welded new pipe in it's place? I have already spent 140.00 in my flowmaster super 40's and 65 to have installed with tips. I don't want to have to spend a lot more to get the sound I want!! can anyone tell me the cheapest way to get a VERY AGGRESSIVE sound with out emptying my wallet, and what all I need to do? I have also been told that i need to buy some kind of adapter for my o2 sensors or my check engine light will stay on. Plus if you can tell me the cheapest place to buy whatever you recommend? I just am really tired of looking at all kinds of set-ups and still scratching my head and still not knowing what I should still do. Any suggestions are appreciated and welcomed. Even if i haven't asked all the right questions I would like to hear any extra info on the the best (loudest and cheapest) way of approaching my problem with a solution. I don't mind spending the money if I need to, to get the sound i want but like I said before I am not made of money and would like to keep the cost down without putting off-brand crap!! I want quality stuff but for cheap. If you know anyone that can help I will be gladly to give you my phone number so I can get better info on this. If you happen to have a sound clip of the examples that would be great!!!! Use to all I had to do to my vehicles was add an after market muffler or two but now everything has gotten so complicated that I am PULLING MY HAIR OUT trying to find a proper solution. PLEASE HELPP!!!     :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: :nonono:

Go with a pypes H or prochamber. Both sound pretty good imo. The prochamber though is expensive compared to the pypes H. What year is car? I believe the 07+ require a tuner to shut of the CEL, the mils only work for the 05 and 06:(

Do you have a tuner already? If you do you can disable the CEL. If not, GET ONE!:D They wake these cars up:nice: If you don't have enough money to get one at the moment but hate to see that CEL on then get the mils, they can be had for 50-70 bucks. But if you can live with it on, then save for a tuner.

If you just want it to sound good taking out the factory cats and replacing with a straight thru pipe will do the trick, it'll make it quite a bit louder too. On my Mach 1 I had flows welded in and it made a little difference but like you, I still wasn't happy. I then just swapped the factory H pipe out for a MRT high flow catted H pipe(Haven't heard of them for the S197). That made it sound good, but no cats sounds the best. Also the check engine light doesn't hurt the way the car runs, if you want to get rid of it at a later time, or never, if you don't have to pass emissions. MILS will work on an 06 so your good on that. My 08 requires a tuner to turn off the CEL:nonono:

Pypes O/R H can be had for about $180. Also cutting your stock H and welding in pieces will be the same as both are 2.5" pipe. Getting rid of the cats will definitely make it louder. I agree that the tuner will do so much for your car for about $375, but if that is too steap for you, I can also agree that if you can stand having your CEL lit on the dash, then do that and save up for the tuner later.

thanks everyone for the input!!! really thank you everyone here is so helpful and I am greatly pleased!!! If you have anymore input please add, just in case someone else had something to add that everyone else didn't know, I'm sure we all could stand to learn more. thanks again!!
