I got a DSS shortblock (pro bullet 306), after shipping it was 2,299.95. That was the main support, new forged rods, new forged pistons, ball./ blueprinted, prepped crank, assem. and shiped. SO it was a bit more inclusive(sp?) than there cheaper 302 setups.
I was looking into just a "kit" but after the cost of machine work and assem. parts the cost was way more expensive. I was tore between the CHP/DSS and went DSS as they were able to answer my questions better, and from what I have heard they are better at the 306 (more so on the long rod motors) setups than CHP.
now you could get a Ford crate motor they run alot more and you get hyper, pistons, stock rods, ect....
