Cheapest way to recalibrate for gears in AUTOMATIC

I know theres no speedcal for automatics. I'm on a tight budget but REALLY want gears. Is there anything cheaper then springing for atleast $350 or so for a chip?

Only choices are a chip, programmer, or a reflash. My Diablo chip was only $250 with one program on it.

$299 for an SCT chip. Get an off-the-shelf tune by the guys who can do it best...SCT!

I say superchip programmer. This thing is awesome, not only does it recal the gears, but you can also change up the shift points and shift pressure. The best thing about it is you test and tune your auto tranny with it whenever you want. Being able to adjust my shift points and shift pressure made it a hell of a lot faster. With the 4.10's and programmer I can chirp 3rd. Oh and I got the programmer for around $350.

This is probably a really dumb question but I am going to ask. I am new to the Mustang world but I have a close friend that has had a few.

What all does adding the gears mess up?

It don't think it should mess up RPM or anything else.

I want to install 4.10s in my 00' Mustang that I just purchased. The car only has 6000 miles on it but I think gears would be a good first mod. Will it still be ok to drive everyday to work? This is my only car now.

It is under warranty still and I also don't want to do anything to void the factory warranty.

All it does is rack up more miles than you're actually driving. You may bounce off the rev limiter a bit if you're into winding it up. Otherwise, you're fine to drive as much as you want. I did the same thing, and drove it 6000 miles before putting the chip in. No problem.

Here's what happened to me

-sent it overnight on wednesday
-they got it 1pm on thursday but Tim (the owner) got sick (I believe) and didn't get to reflash mine
-so, his wife called explaining to me about this
-He reflashed it on Friday and over night it via UPS
-got my EEC back on Saturday
