We wont know - if there were the cars are not on the road anymore since they wont pass smog.

I cant think of any puter controller cars that I have had which did not have a CEL/MIL. Some of those were SD.

ur sig says stock ported heads and speed density, of course the 331 is being held back, put some REAL heads on it, change to mass air, and then you should be happy

I am going to a state referee to get it to pass. This is ridiculous. I will check my manual but I seriously doubt it will say that it doesn't have a CE light. What BS. There's got to be lots of 88 49 state cars in CA. How does everyone else get them to pass smog? Pay the guy off?

I passed the visual portion of smog by going to the referree. He gave me a diagram he found that says that only the 4 cylinder had the CE in 88. If anyone wants this I can fax it to them. Email me at bgd777@yahoo.com. Brian

Brian, glad to hear you got it straightened out. And good man for sharing the info for future folks who might end up in the same pickle.

Thanks Hissin. For some reason my car didn't pass emissions at the referree so now I'm going back to the place I originally had it smogged to try again. I HATE CA SMOG!

Yeah that's what my local Ford guys told me too. But they're wrong as only the 4 cyl and CA V8 car had it that year.
