Check engine light making me crazy

I've put a 5.0 out of 91 Mustang in my 65 Ranchero, running a Painless harness deleting all smog pumps etc, I'm throwing a code #34 which according to my research is a EGR issue, well, I have deleted the EGR valve with block off plate and the circuit plug, the car runs fine but this check engine light is making me crazy, also, the light goes out during acceleration but comes back on as soon as I back off the throttle, any help from the gurus????

The sensor plug should take care of that. Is it fully seated? Where did you get it from?

Its fully seated, it's actuallythe second one I've tried, got it a CJ pony I believe, the first one on ebay so thought I'd give a more reputable one a shot, with no change. Whats baffling to me is that the light goes out under acceleration

Same here. Are you sure it's the code 34 that's causing the light? Erase the codes and go for a drive and run the full code read process...still code 34?

34 is the only code thats relevant, with the painless harness the others are deleted
