Hey fellas like forever ago I added a cold air intake and after the install every now and again the cel will come on for a bit and then go off again while driving. (it did this shortly after install Im just now asking about it ) Do yall think it could be due to a vac leak or maybe the maf isnt working right? It doesn't come on at idle just going down the road. PS: it was a cheapy cai http://www.americanmuscle.com/94-95-gt-cold-air-intake.html

PS: and for those who were following the thread about moog bj's and ford racing B springs, I got em on yesterday. Steering much tighter and rides pretty well. Shop only charged $260 to install everything, not a bad day.

7 views no replies.. Oh and one more thing: I think I forogt to state what might be the obvious problem. The bung for the IAT sensor is a little small and the sensor will only thread in about half way. Could that be the issue?

Have you tried reading the trouble code? That is where I would start...

Had it inspected today and the mech said it got a code for a sec then he gave it gas and it went away. He wasn't very specific as to which code it was think b/c it went away so quick but said it was something to do w/ the air... SO I'm guessing IAT sensor. Gonna see if I can't tap out the hole and get it in there better. PS passed inspection

If he didn't clear the code, it will still be stored in the computer. Run the car over to your local Auto Zone and have them scan and tell you exactly what code it is. Don't go guessing and fixing things that aren't broken.
