hey guys, I searched the threads and couldn't find the answer I am looking for so......I just installed my catless pacesetter x-pipe....It seems to run fine but, the check engine light comes on and off now. It will come on for a few minutes/seconds then go off, then sometimes comes back on......It also seems to be idling around 900-1100 rpm when cold....never did this before the x-pipe....My o2 sensors are in and connected....any ideas? I have a 92 gt
thanx

My car has the same issue, after the off road H pipe and Flowmaster cat back I installed. I am going to try new o2 sensors and reset the computer(battery) today. I will probably also have the codes pulled at Autozone. Anybody want to help? I did not have this issue before the exhaust.

CB300GT, I also have flowmaster catbacks, I have already tried reseting the computer....the light still comes on and off, I was reading and perhaps the reason is that the o2 sensors are not staying warm enough because of the new downpipes....I dont know....any help

You guys need to pull the codes to see what the problem is. It most likely has nothing to do with you exhaust, and nothing more than a coiencident. I and many other people on this form have an off road H or X pipe and cat back exhaust and it caused no code. Pull you codes and tell us what they are and we can help you better.

my check engine light flashes alot for me when it was cold outside. it was due to my old MAF and i swapped it out for a 75mm MAF. it fixed the problem during the summertime but during the winter, it will flash. it doesnt flash as often as before.
its possible that it could be your O2 sensors.

The guy doing my exhaust told me you need the mil elliminators for the rear o2 sensors because your computer reads between the front and the back.without cats it will cause your check engine light to come on.even if your x/h pipe have the o2 sensors.hope this helps.

^ ya but 92 gt's only have 2 o2 sensors before that cats. if that is your car in your avatar then you have a sn95 which were the first generation to use 4 o2's 2 before and 2 after.

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.

I had the codes pulled at Autozone today. It only showed an 11, they said that just meant test. They couldn't get it to show a problem. It came on once in awhile on the way there, but has not came back on since. Now I am really confused. I was going to buy 2 new 02 sensors but they were 40 bucks a piece, so I didn't get them cause mine might still be OK.
