If I don't have a programmer to check the error code. How do I go about getting the error code?

To get the OBDII codes take the car to autozone and they will check codes for free

take it to autozone, they usually will pull the code for free. if you want you can get a OBD2 code reader from most auto parts stores for between $70-$100. you are gonna pay about that much if you take it to the dealer to get a code read. once you get the code, post it up here and we can help you fix it.
