so if u guys have been paying attention, ive been asking alot off questions reguarding my 97 cobra. well my check engine light came on last night, so i had a local shop pull the codes, and he said its either my mass air meter or my O2 sensor. since my exhaust has been leaking more and more im going with my O2's bad.

Now my question, how do u check an O2 to see if its bad? what wires do i need to poke and what should the voltage be?

Well, could you tell us what the actual code was? A lot of times we see codes pointing to lean/rich conditions, etc, when it's actually a dirty MAF, exhaust leak, etc.

If you have an exhaust leak, it can trigger the MIL, most definately. If there's a way for you to fix the exhaust leak, I would make that the priority. Then, (if you haven't already,) clean that MAF carefully just to discount that as a possibility. It takes 5 minutes and can cure several problems.

If you still get the code after that, please let us know the actual code, and we'll go from there.
