Thanks guys. So im paranoid about people trying to break into or steal this car. Especially since my neighborhood is not that great. Do people have a knack for stealing mustangs alot? I know with my prelude it never got broken into or messed with.

I am fairly confident that the anti theft system will prevent any amatuer car thief. With that being said if a the pros have a wrecker service and are pretty fast then there is really no stopping them.

You have a Garage, dont you? The pic looks like it was take in a neighborhood of single family houses. If you do, make room and park it. Criminals go for the easiest targets. If they don't see it, they won't steal it.

Park a car behind it. Do you have the active anti theft or just passive? Active has the tow away sensors too. Maybe an after market alarm and an assault rifle out the window might deter even some arse with a tow truck if you are home.

Hi all,
So yeah I have a garage but theres a nice classic chevy in it and an ugly red taurus I should get rid of. The picture of the car is in front of my aunts house so thats not my neighborhood...Im not too sure about the anti-theft device...I need to start reading the manual on the car. My car came with extra features such as the rims, lowering kit, grill, and the 6 disc stereo so right now im just trying to figure out exactly what I got in there and how to use it.

Chances of your Taurus being stolen, are nearly slim to none..So why not just consider parking the Taurus outdoors and park that sweet new Stang of yours in the garage ?

The only problem with that is the Taurus doesnt have registration stickers and if I leave it out the meter maids are going to ticket it. I think what Im going to need to do is find a spot I can dump that car in and get my mustang into the garage as soon as possible!

Why would they ticket a car that is legally parked and not being driven. I'm not sure about the law wher you live but here you don't have to have a registration sticker to OWN a car, only to Drive it.

the law here is licensed, insured and in driving condition on a PAVED surface. gravel does not count. this includes your driveway and the street. they can come tow your car if you dont have plates, even in your driveway
