Check out my Nitrous switches / switchbox. (In the photo is just a test fit) I built a box out of 18 gauge steel which gave me a reason to weld. It's a simple box but it fits perfectly (by design) into the useless overhead net. (I put my wallet up there a couple times, but in this FL heat (and with a black car), my credit cards were turning into silly putty).
I covered the 2 pieces in headliner material (craft/fabric store) - not an exact match for what I already have, but it's close...essentially a charcoal color...not quite 100% black. (The camera flash kinda throws the color off - it's really a good match) I used 3M spray adhesive on the outside of the box to set the headliner material and simply duct taped the edges inside the two halves. 5 black screws will hold it together, and there is a slot out the rear to allow the wiring to feed out. The wiring will run straight to the edge of the windshield, then right along the edge of the windshield/headliner...I found that there is a great space already there that cannot be seen from the outside nor the inside. I'll either use the tubing you see here or a smaller version or some spiral stuff to hide it pretty well.
The switches are, 1. master, 2. purge...and the light will be lit when the master switch is turned on.
QUESTIONS -
1. What size gauge wire should I use for this stuff?
2. The switch has 2 connections, and, of course, the light does as well. How would I wire these up? As stated, I want the light to be lit when the switch is turned on. (But I also don't want the system NOT to work if the light burns out...do I?) I'm figuring that if it were just the switch, I'd connect one side to switched 12V and the other side to the NOS Noszle wiring harness relay, but I'm not sure how to wire the light into the mix.
