you didn't answer whether it was a kit car or a production car. i could say that "i love the caterham 7..." and that wouldnt answer my question.

It was a production vehicle that Shelby built. Every now and then they pop up on ebay. They used Vortec Supercharged 4.0L Aurora V8 Engine, or the N/A version

Yeah thats a shelby series 1. Believe it or not they had one at the local ford dealership here in NC. It was roped off on the showroom floor so no one could get near it unless they were gonna buy it. Beautiful car. Pictures don't do it justice.
